On June 12, 2025 — the 6th day of Eid — the short film Woman of No Religion was released on i-Screen. Sushoma Sarkar and Mushfiq Farhan played the main roles.
Story Summary:
There is a music and dance event in a brothel. Young women are dancing in different styles. If someone likes a girl, they can pay money to sleep with her.
One of the girls is Nishi. She looks like a movie heroine. Her body is also very attractive. Farhan comes to the brothel again and again just to be with Nishi.
Slowly, Farhan falls in love with her. He feels angry when Nishi goes to bed with other men. But he knows this is her job. Still, Farhan wants to marry her.
Suddenly, Nishi dies. Farhan wants to bury her properly. But no one comes to her funeral. He takes her body to a temple and a church. But no religion agrees to perform her last rites. They say her body is impure.
Farhan feels very sad. He starts a journey with Nishi’s body to find a place where she can rest in peace.
