Story Overview:
Miraj is a student who failed his SSC (Secondary School Certificate) exam. Unable to pass, he started a poultry farm in the village. On the other hand, Maya, the girl Miraj loves, has always been a bright student and is preparing to take the BCS exam next year.
Miraj has liked Maya for a long time, but Maya never gave him any attention. Lately, Miraj keeps following Maya around, which leads to trouble—Maya publicly humiliates him in a village arbitration by putting a garland of shoes around his neck and beating him with sandals.
Later, due to unexpected circumstances, the villagers arrange Miraj’s marriage with Maya’s twin sister, Chhaya. Chhaya, like Miraj, failed her SSC and stays at home. She is also not considered desirable for marriage because she’s missing a front tooth.
After marriage, Miraj starts beating Chhaya repeatedly. When Maya finds out, she again brings him to village arbitration.
