Storyline: At the Foundation for Psychiatric Research, three scientists invent a groundbreaking device called the D.C. Mini, which enables people to record and view their dreams. However, they fail to secure the device, and a thief seizes the opportunity to use it for nefarious purposes. The thief infiltrates people’s minds while they are awake, bombarding them with their own dreams and those of others, causing widespread chaos. The trio—Chiba, Tokita, and Shima—along with the help of a police inspector and a mysterious sprite named Paprika, must track down the thief while defending their own psyches from attacks. As the boundaries between dreams, reality, and cinema blur, the characters grapple with the limits of science and the ethical implications of surveillance and control.
