“Kacher Manush” is a Bengali movie released in 2022. The main roles are played by Prosenjit Chatterjee, Dev, and Ishaa Saha.

The movie shows the sad and difficult lives of two men, Kuntal and Sudarshan. After hearing Kuntal’s story, Sudarshan comes up with a risky idea. He thinks it might help both of them solve their problems. Then begins a tough struggle with life.

Short Story:

Kuntal is standing on a railway track, waiting for a train. A long time passes, but no train comes. A man named Sudarshan sees him and walks over. He asks Kuntal for a light for his cigarette. Kuntal gets annoyed and starts to walk away. A letter falls from his pocket.

The letter says that Kuntal wants to kill himself. His younger brother had saved money in a scheme. But the company took the money and ran away. This caused trouble in the family. Kuntal’s brother felt guilty and killed himself. After that, their mother became paralyzed and is now in bed. Kuntal feels hopeless and wants to die too.

Sudarshan has his own problem. His younger sister has a hole in her heart. She needs a big operation. It will cost five lakh rupees. So, Sudarshan makes a plan. He buys a life insurance policy in Kuntal’s name. If Kuntal dies in an accident, Sudarshan will get ten lakh rupees.

At first, Kuntal says no to this plan. But later, he agrees. The story then changes. Sudarshan becomes desperate to make Kuntal die in an accident. He wants the money to save his sister. A fight begins between life and death — between Kuntal and Sudarshan.
