Kabuliwala is a Bengali film released in 2023. It was directed by Suman Ghosh. The movie is based on the short story “Kabuliwala” written by Rabindranath Tagore in 1892. Mithun Chakraborty plays the main role. Other actors include Anumegha Kahali, Abir Chatterjee, and Sohini Sarkar.

Story Summary:
Rahmat is a middle-aged man from Afghanistan. In 1965, he leaves his country, daughter, and home to come to Kolkata. In the city, he becomes close to a little girl named Mini. He feels a fatherly love for her.
The film shows the value of true friendship and selfless love. It also shows that love can cross the boundaries of nation, religion, and culture.
