The film “Jole Jole Tara” was released on Bengali OTT platforms on June 10, 2025. Earlier, it was released in theaters on February 14. Mithila played the lead role in the movie.
The story is about a girl named Marium. When she was a child, a dishonest fakir kidnapped her. After that, her name was changed to Tara. The movie shows the events that happen in Tara’s life.
Story Summary:
Labu and Marium are brother and sister. One day, Labu falls into the river and dies. After that, a fake fakir kidnaps Marium. She is given a new name—Tara.
As Tara grows up, she is sold to a broker. The broker rents her out to different people. Later, she is sold to a circus group.
While working in the circus, Tara has a serious accident. She decides to escape and start a new life. On the way, she meets her dying father but cannot tell him who she really is. After he dies, she brings his body home. She also leaves the locket her mother gave her in childhood.
Tara’s mother sees the locket and understands that Tara is actually their lost daughter, Marium. She calls out “Marium, Marium” from behind, but Tara doesn’t respond.
Tara then gets on another boat. Sadly, the same broker from the circus is on that boat. He was the one who forced Tara into a bad life.
What will happen to Tara now?
Will she ever escape from this painful life?
