Story Summary:
Indubala is a village girl from East Bengal. She marries a man from Kolkata and leaves her village. In the city, she tries to adjust to a new life. But after her husband dies, she has to raise her two sons alone.
Indubala is a good cook. With the help of some kind people, she starts a small food hotel in her house. The hotel mainly serves local workers and travelers. Slowly, people start liking her food. Her hotel becomes popular first by word of mouth, then on social media. With the income, her life becomes more stable. Her sons grow up and become successful.
Even after all this, Indubala always remembers her childhood village. She wants to go back there. But family duties and political borders stop her. The partition of India in 1947 and Bangladesh’s independence in 1971 make it impossible for her to return.
This series shows the pain, sacrifice, and deep love Indubala feels for her lost homeland.
