Story Summary:
Alhaj Rahmat Talukdar was a powerful chairman. He lived in a huge house, like a palace. He had horses in Ghorashal. He owned a tea garden on ten bighas of land. He also had more than fifty bighas of paddy fields. Besides this, he had many businesses and a lot of money in the bank.
He had both money and power. But now, he is dead. People were invited through loudspeakers to attend his funeral prayer. Many people came. But they left before the prayer started. Why? Because Talukdar had taken people’s land and property by force. He built his empire by grabbing others’ homes and fields.
At the funeral, the Imam asked everyone to forgive Talukdar. The people asked for their property back in return. Talukdar’s sons ignored them and started the funeral prayer. So the people left without joining it.
